Keep Writing!

Poetry can be frustrating but it can also be magical

Like any other aspect of the arts, poetry is an intricate craft.

It can take so much of your time and even tears to perfect, but as you progress on your writing journey the immense ability to manipulate language in such a creative way that you instill a spectrum of emotions in your readers will be worth all the struggles.

The old phrase “practice makes perfect” is one that can push you through your writer’s block, your frustrations with unruly stanzas, and the rejections from literary magazines.

But it is the encouragement and helpful critiques from your friends and writing peers that will help you hone your writing skills.

So listen carefully to critiques, but don’t be afraid to hold true to your voice as a writer, as a poet.

When you find that balance you will discover how truly magical poetry can be.
